Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StatHoops ("the Service"), operated by Hallucination Engineering LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StatHoops is a web-based platform that helps youth and AAU basketball coaches manage team statistics, generate analytics, coordinate schedules and travel, and communicate with players and parents. The Service includes AI-powered features for stat extraction, coaching insights, and practice planning.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use StatHoops. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Team coaches and managers are responsible for the accuracy of player rosters and statistics they enter into the platform.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload content that is abusive, harassing, or harmful to minors
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or team data without authorization
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Use the Service to spam, send unsolicited communications, or advertise

5. Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you upload to StatHoops (scorebook images, game film, statistics, messages). By uploading content, you grant StatHoops a limited license to process, store, and display it as necessary to provide the Service.

When a coach marks a game as "public," the box score and game summary become accessible via a public URL.

6. AI-Generated Content

StatHoops uses artificial intelligence to extract statistics, generate coaching insights, practice plans, and player reports. AI-generated content is provided as a tool and should be reviewed by coaches for accuracy. StatHoops does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated outputs.

7. Pricing and Payment

StatHoops is currently free during the beta period. We may introduce paid tiers in the future. If pricing changes, existing users will receive advance notice and will not be charged without explicit consent.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep StatHoops available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

9. Termination

You may stop using StatHoops at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to team data may be revoked, though we will make reasonable efforts to allow data export upon request.

10. Limitation of Liability

StatHoops is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatHoops shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice.
